The Role of Youth in Search and Rescue | Kalyn Dawes, Sabrina Tripp & Kate Larsen | TEDxYouth@SHC

In an interview filled with stories and insights, three youth members of Marin County’s Search and Rescue team share their experiences, motivations, and challenges during their training and on missions. A sophomore at Redwood High School in Corte Madera, California, Kalyn is also a member of Marin Search and Rescue. She spends hundreds of hours on training, is a qualified Emergency Medical Responder, and has participated in more than a dozen missions just in the past 18 months.

Sabrina is a sophomore at Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California and a member of Marin Search and Rescue.

A senior at Drake High School in San Anselmo, California, Kate is a committed member of Marin Search and Rescue. A qualified Emergency Medical Responder, she spends hundreds of hours on training for a range of rescue scenarios, and has participated in more than a dozen missions just in the past 18 months.
